"There is something exhilarating and pure about mountain running"
"I have always enjoyed running.
I don't believe it's an addiction, I don't get fidgety or grumpy without it, but I do find myself looking out of the window and wishing I was out there!
For me, there are 3 main parts of the run...
The first part is about finding my stride, noticing those aches and twinges. Waking up my legs and lungs, feeling heavy and a little tight.
The third part is about getting home, tired and happy, fantasizing about a shower and a cup of tea!
However............ part 2, once your body is awake, once your lungs and legs are working, once you reach that special bit in the middle, that is where your mind is free, where you feel as if you can run forever. That is what mountain running is all about" Steve Booker
